The Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund (TDJBCF) will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the TDJBCF Breast Cancer Support Group on Wednesday, April 15, at 6 pm. Themed “A Salute to Breast Cancer Survivors and Caregivers,” this exciting virtual celebration will provide an opportunity for participants to share their coping mechanisms as a community during this unprecedented time during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Join us as we inspire, encourage and remind each other that no one should travel their journey alone – even now.
The Mistress of Ceremonies will be Award-Winning Jacqueline Beale, Two-Time Breast Cancer Champion, 2019 Inaugural TDJBCF Evelyn B. Curtis Award Recipient and Maryland State Lead Ambassador, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
Opening remarks will be by Philanthropist Jan Adams, Founder and CEO, JMA Solutions and Platinum Sponsor for the occasion. Dr. Richard Kennedy, Former Chief Medical Officer, World Bank Group and TDJBCF Board Member, will facilitate the community discussion with survivors and caregivers. Video tributes produced by TDJBCF Ambassador Rodney Minor will be provided by the breast cancer community, featuring Journalist and Breast Cancer Advocate Andrea Roane, Philanthropist Reginald “Reggie” Van Lee & Honorary TDJBCF Board Member, Dr. Carla Williams, Interim Director, Howard University Cancer Center, and John Schelp, Durham Sesquicentennial Honors Commission, among others.
